Trevor Esling has 30 plus years’ experience in aircraft sales across the world and most recently was the SVP of International Sales for Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation covering Europe, Middle East, Africa and South Asia (Indian Sub-continent) a position he held for approximately 9 years. During his tenure the G650, G500, G600 and latterly G700 were successfully launched throughout the territories and the brand achieved significant competitive capture in the area. Prior to that Trevor was ultimately on the Senior Leadership Team of Cessna as the Senior Vice President International Sales covering Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia for Cessna Aircraft Company, and worked for Cessna for 17 years. Cessna became the predominant light jet brand in the 2000’s particularly in Western & Eastern Europe as many new models were introduced into the market. He also held positions as Vice President for Sales for Asia and South America for Raytheon Aircraft Company, and commenced his career at British Aerospace PLC ultimately representing the company for all international sales of the ubiquitous HS125/Hawker program. Esling resides in Camberley, Surrey, UK.
Roger Whyte has enjoyed a long and illustrious career in aviation commencing with Cessna Aircraft Company starting in aircraft sales in Austria in the 1970’s for the then aircraft dealer for the brand before being subsequently recruited by Cessna into Citation sales covering Europe, Middle East and Africa and progressively taking increasingly more responsible positions with the Company. In 1994 Roger became the Wichita based SVP Worldwide Sales & Marketing and a member of the Senior leadership team of the Company as well as becoming Chairman of Cessna Pacific in Australia. During that time he contributed to one of the longest and largest expansions of the Citation fleet during which numerous new airplanes, including the highly successful CitationJet series, Citation Mustang, Citation Excel, Citation Sovereign and, at that time, the world’s fastest business jet, the Citation X were launched. During his tenure Roger Whyte was actively engaged in the US Business jet industry, was a member of the Board of Directors of the NBAA, Director of the National Aviation Hall of Fame and a founding Director of the Air Charter Safety Foundation. Retiring in 2010 after more than 35 years of association with Cessna, Roger has continued to be engaged with all facets of aviation through NBAA including playing a key roll in the laying of the foundations for the ABACE Conventions in mainland China. He is also a nonexecutive Board Member of Duncan Aviation. Roger Whyte holds a Airline Transport Pilots license with multiple Citation ratings. He resides on the Austrian/German border close to Salzburg.
Barry Johnson is the long-time CEO of Vulcan Aviation Limited a company he established over 30 years ago following his departure from working with British Petroleum PLC in the flight operation. Over the years Barry has consistently built an impressive number of “firsts” for his company taking in the first commercially certified BBJ-2 on to his UK AOC, along with the first Citation X and Falcon 50EX. Today the fleet under his operation is nine aircraft ranging from Gulfstream 650/G450, Falcon 7X aircraft to AW139 helicopters for a variety of large UK PLC’s, UK Corporate and Ultra High Net Worth Individuals. The Company has operated all types of large business jets, mostly Gulfstream, Bombardier and Falcon, as well as smaller Citations. Barry Johnson brings with him a wealth of highly valuable operational and technical experience to the Vulcan Aviation capability which is invaluable in an aircraft sales environment. He resides in Cheltenham, and maintains operational bases at Gloucester, Bristol and Farnborough Airport.
